every day when i go to feed my leo i stress me and him out because the mealworms go into his cage/hide and start climbing all over him. so i have to lift up the hide and take them out plus he wont come up to me because i keep lifting his hide when the crickets/mealies climb/bite him. i tried in a seperate tubberware tub today and he seems so scared to eat so does any1 have any suggestions?

put the worms in a bowl or something of the sort. It sould be low enough for him to be able to access easy and hard for the mealies to get out. exo terra sells a nice one but you can just use petri dishes or even gatorade lids. that should keep the worms in the feeding area.:main_thumbsup:

Definitely get a bowl. The basic brown plastic "inescapable" ones are only a couple of bucks at the pet store. They are pretty good at keeping the mealies in. The nice one Connor mentioned runs about $7 I think.

I use a styrofoam cup bottom, cut to size. I put some velcro on the tank and underside of the cup, this keeps it from sliding around.

No i haven't tried those. I use these dishes from Petco. They are like 3.99 a piece and no mealworm has climbed out.

I use the ceramic bowls from the rodent section of Petsmart/Petco rather than the lizard section. These are a little taller so the mealies can't get out, but still small enough for the leos to get their dinner :main_thumbsup:

go to 99, and steal a ramekin or 2 :D

my mom works there, i have a bunch in all sizes. try to get soem shallow-er ones so the leo can see what's going on inside! :)
