Hello I have a 5 year old leo, and her eyes have become cloudy/mucus-covered, and she keeps them squinted. I know this tends to be a result of improper shedding, and/or a vitamin A deficiency. I believe it is the latter. Anyhow, I picked up some leo calcium + dust and made a slurry since she hasn't eating in quite awhile, and fed her some today. Unfortunately, I cannot get her to a vet until Thursday, which I trully cannot afford, but I was wondering if I run a risk of giving her a respiratory infection. I did not force it down her throat, but placed it on her tounge, and now she has coughed some up, and is holding her head near verticle. Also, I tried a saline flush, but cannot get her to hold her eyes open. Any feedback is appreciated.
