Eldar was purchased from the Hamburg, PA show last Saturday.
To this day he still hasn't willingly eating anything.

I offer him CGD, mixed with baby food fruit, and I have to smear it across his face for himt o lick it off, and then he eventually gets pissed and won't do it anymore.

So, how long should I wait before I start worrying about him saying No to food?

It has been a week and sometimes it takes that long or longer for a new animal to get used to its new home. Im not bad mouthing any breeder but you said you got him at a show and sometimes breeders keep them housing that is nothing more than a container, i saw you have a great set up for him and it could be very different than what he is used to. Id say just give it some time and dont start to worry yet.

Thanks so much for the response. :) And yeah, it's very possible he lived his life in the little container (sad) so I'll let him chill and keep offering it daily (though I should probably scale back the amount).

Is he still a small baby? I don't notice any cgd gone from my small ones, but I know they're eating because I see potties in their tanks. It's only noticeable in my larger ones and she only eats it on the second day (not the first day when it's fresh).

Since he is new, that sounds normal. It can take a few weeks before they start eating.

It may be best to not smear it on him anymore, that can stress him out more and keep him from eating longer than he normally would. They will eat the cgd when they feel comfortable in their new home. The cgd also has fruit flavor in it so the baby food isnt necessary.
Most of the rhacs dont go for mealworms and when they do its not much of a diet for them. It's kindof like feeding iceberg lettuce to bearded dragons, very little nutrition for them.

When he starts eating it, it may just be a few licks that you cant notice then he will start eating more and more.

Update: He ate three small crickets and has been pooping so he must be eating the CGD when I'm not looking. Thanks for the advice everybody!
