My gecko always eats good and has a big fat tail. About almost a week ago she just suddenly stopped eating. I do not know what to do about this because she has never done this before.
Well, sort of, but they haven't interacted. I have a divider in my tank and they both were doing fine, but the female just stopped eating. What is brumation?
I don't know, this past winter was weird for me and my girls. I have three right now that aren't eating, and I had one that I finally had to put down because I was syringe feeding her for 4 months... she looked horrible. I had brought her to the vets, ran fecal, xrays, the whole nine yards and nothing could be found.
How old is your girl? If she can sense the presence of a male, that may kick start her ovulation process. If a girl stops eating at this time of the year, its most likely either because the ambient temps have dropped, and/or she is ovulating.
