Female breeding question.

I'm a little confused, i've read that females need to be around a year old to breed & i've also read that they need to be 50 grams. By the time they're a year old they're bound to be bigger than 50 grams so which is it? Two of my females are about 50 grams but only 7-8 months old, is it healthy for them to breed now or should i save them until next year?

Since it's early in the 2008 season, I'd wait a few more months until they are a little bit older to breed. If they start ovulating sooner, they'd probably be OK to go.
