I tried putting my raptor male in with my blizzard female a few days ago here was the result: Put male in and instantly she wiggles her tail and looks like she's about to bite him, so I separate them both.

Now tonight, I put male in again with female, she was in her hide this time she peaks her head out with eyes wide open (same reaction when seeing food) walks up to my male and bites him in the nose....

Male just walked away. Keep in mind my female is about 53g and my male is 78g.

Why is she biting? She is a very calm gecko when I hold her.

If they are on paper towels, you can tear a piece off from his enclosure and put it in hers. or try switching the hides like you said. I'd wait a week and then try putting her in with him. Repeat once a week.

Aren't blizzards known to be a little feisty too? :main_laugh:

I don't think the morph matters about attitude. But obviously, the female isn't interested in the male. Like the other guy said, just wait a couple of weeks.:main_thumbsup:

I have had similar issues. I haven't tried the hide switch or swapping paper towel. The advice I have gotten is to let the male assert his dominance by leaving them together. Are yours first timers like mine?

Im assuming u know what to look for if she's ovulating? That little pink spot in the middle of her stomach that looks like a pencil eraser. If u see that the female will accept him.If not she will always fight back

Yep I know what to look for, I just never had a female be so aggressive, but today I put them together today seeing what I think looked like the pink spot in her stomach today and she accepted him. She didn't bite but she did wiggle her tail and kept her cool after that. I notice the male was very calm and relaxed. He even licked her a few times.
