Female violence

So, I tried introducing the new female to the large enclosure with the other two geckos today (male and female). The male ignored her completely. The other female on the other hand showed huge interest in her at first, then started aggresively bitng her tail, she managed to get to hard chomps on her tail before I got her out. Luckily, no tail loss.

So my question is, why did she attack the new female? I have never had an issue between the male and female and she considerably bigger than he is. Why would she attack another female that is larger than her?

Do you think it has anything to do with the fact that she's bulging with eggs?

I really like having them all in one enclosure, but I understand it may be impossible to do safely.

Anything I can do to end this?

And I'm not sure if this is in the right forum lol.

yeh, the aggresive on is on her own now, I was just feeding them ( I take everything out at feeding) and she began waving her tail at the male and went after him. I got in before she got over there.

I don't understand, she's at least 2 years old, I have had her 1 year and she's been with that same male the entire time, and no problems until now. And she has always been very docile. Could it possibly have anything to do with the fact that she is gravid?

I tried putting my two females together into one tank and there was aggression from both. I have decided that they like to live by themselves (don't blame them) and will house them separately. I actually was disappointed as I wanted to get rid of one tank.

P.S. One of my girls rattled her tail not just waved.

Yes, but these two geckos have lived together since I got my first female and they were both adults, I just don't understand why she's acting like this all of a sudden. =/
