I sold a male today, who had visible pores and two bulges(The pores were visibly black, but a lighter black). The guy who bought him was convinced that in all his leo experience and breeding that it was a female, because "the head was smaller and the pores need to be darker". I just gave up and let him have his wisdom.
Have you ever had a female with black pores and bulges..lol?

I haven't seen a female yet with darkened pores but plenty of girls do have bulges. Some geckos are just difficult to sex until a bit older. Whenever I'm not positive about gender, it's labeled as a "probable" male or female.

The pores were definitely there, black like this:

There was no way that he was a female. The bulges were too big imo to be a bulgy female as well, as I have seen a few females like that.

Would that be the double het albino? Did you tell the new owner?
Were they planning on breeding at all, or just looking for a pet?

Sorry to pepper you with questions...
Anyhow, if you couldn't convince them that it was male, I guess they will find out themselves, sooner or later. I just hope they don't find out by trying to breed their "female" to another male.

Yes it was the double albino lillith, and he had him up for sale as a pet only so hopefully the purchaser listens to his advice.

I held back a very nice blizzard 'male' that started ovulating the following spring. After all these years, this gecko had literally every indication to be a male, who has now produced many nice babies from eggs. Yes, eggs.

Weird, but cool at the same time.

I personally would have explicitly told the purchaser it was a double het and that it is permanently, irrevocably unsuitable for breeding.
Selling it as "pet-only" guarantees pretty much nothing, unless they signed a gecko-non-proliferation agreement or something. Not trying to be mean, but if it ever comes up again, disclosure is best, IMO.

Marcia, I have NEVER heard tell of that before, was it completely adult before you noticed the "change" or was it a subadult? Do you remember if it was incubated warm or anything?

I've had a female or two in the past that looked like males. They did ovulate and give me eggs. I agree that it is sometimes hard to tell until they're a bit older. Even then, mistakes can be made.

I have two females with slight bulges, but no pores. At least I'm assuming they're females. I guess we'll find out!
