Females?

I don't know what gender I'll be getting but I had a few questions about females. If you aren't breeding females, do they still need a larger amount of calcium? Also, this might be a stupid question, but do they lay infertile eggs without a mate?

I give my females additional calcium when they are laying but not any other time. I of course dust their food with vitamins/calcium but no additional calcium unless laying.

Yes females can lay infertile eggs without a mate.

Do all females lay? How do you know when?

No, all females won't lay if they don't have a mate. You can see there belly get bigger when their gravid.

Sometimes even if they've never been bred, they can sometimes drop infertile eggs, although must of the time that doesnt happen.
