This is my first egg session with Leos...Im SUPER SUPER excited!!!!!!!

The eggs are dimpled and very soft. They were layed last night/this morning. I have heard that dimpled eggs means infertile???

Help??? LOL

The One on the left looks like its in bad shape, but it doesn't look infertile.

The one of the Right is DEFINITELY Fertile. If you don't mind me asking what was the Pairing?

Well I don't know about you, but it's early afternoon over here, most people are at work.

And this is a public forum, not everyone can respond immediately lol.

I don't know much about eggs, sorry.

Its not about being famous......
If they are still soft they are probably infertile. Just keep them and wait and see. You'll find out if they are fertile if they hatch and if they aren't then they won't, Nothing we say is going to change it, so just be patient.
keep the water to perlite ration to .8 water. The rest is up to nature.

I hope you don't mind me asking but how do you heat the eggs? I'm looking to breed and I know almost nothing, are you using a UTH or an overhead heat light?

I agree, the one on the left looks pretty bad.

Also give people some time...And try not to be so aggressive. Giving a post 2 hours is not the appropriate amount of time to expect a response.

Fertile or infertile can be deceiving. I had 2 eggs last year at the end of season. One was dented and odd shaped, the other perfect looking. The perfect looking one didn't make it, but the odd one did. All you can do, if you have doubts, is incubate them as if they were fertile. You'll know within a short time.

Personally I would incubate them until they deflated or stunk to high heaven. The first baby we hatched came from the ugliest egg I have ever seen, lol. It was dented and I battled mold the entire time. He hatched out perfect. You just never know. I always give the egg the benefit of the doubt and incubate until I am sure it's a dud. Good luck.

see it that way, this is the place you will get the best help. Than again in most good books you see how fertile eggs look like and if you see a bullseye when candling they are. IF they are soft for a long time you will see them mod in no time. Fertile eggs get hard.

BTW best luck with them my first clutch of this pairing was BE and normal het Bell so good luck :)
