Fertilizer for terrarium plants?

I put together a 29g terrarium for a pair of cresties 2 months ago. Everything's doing fin but I don't think the plants are doing as well as they could be, since they're growing in just eco-earth and are getting no nutrients other than gecko poo. I was thinking of taking it all out, and putting a thin layer of miracle grow potting soil underneath a big layer of eco-earth, but I was told I probably didn't need to. Would that be a good/safe idea or should I just stay with the eco-earth and find some organic fert? (anyone know of a good organic fertilizer?)

What plants do you currently have in the cage?

I have had tropicals (various bromeliads and orchids) and succulents (Cotyledon, Crassula, Aloe, and Sanseviera) growing for years in terrariums without any "additional" fertilizing. I've got broms that started off in 4" pots that are now 10" in diameter and have 6-7 pups each.

Plants are subject to stress from transplating just as animals are from moving around their cages. How long ago did you set up this vivaria?

I set it up 2 months ago. This morning I added a few plants and rearranged a little (had to add some more of the eco-earth too). I think I figured out the problem, when I set upt he tank I never moistened the clay pellets on the bottom (see pic) and even with heavy weekly watering the soil never had much water in it, in fact it was almost dry when I went to move the plants around. I poured some water into the pellets so hopefully they'll retain the moisture and help the plants out...

The plants I have in there now:
schefflera
2 bromelaids
small spider plant
peace lily
polkadot plant
pothos
"zz" plant
prayer plant
a type of moss/ground cover
