Few breeding questions

When I put a male in with a female and she lays her first eggs do I have to put the male back in to get the next clutch of eggs?

Do I leave the male and the female together til the end of the breeding season or?

Personally, I think it is too stressful on the female to leave the male in the same cage. Mating every three weeks will give the best level of fertility. Although a single mating can give eggs for up to a year!!

So put the male in every 3 weeks. Alright thanks.. Also how long should I be leaving him in? Like a day or 2

When you put them together, be sure that they will be ok, no fighting. I usually leave mine in for 24 hours. Some people will do 2-3 days, or longer. If the female is ovulating, and accepts the male, then breeding is usually pretty quick. If she is slapping him with her tail, or biting, then take him out, and try again in a few days.
