I am finally able to post some pictures, advice dont blow up your computer.
I also have some of my aussies but have to find them the computer is hiding them.

Yes, sand dis a horrible substrate. It will cause impaction, which is a blockage in the intestines. This is caused when leos lick the sand while trying to "taste" the environment. They will also ingest it while catching crickets. I suggest switching to a solid substrate like paper towels, rough tile, or repti-carpet. Also is that mulch? If so, that is horrible aswell. It could even give the gecko splinters, and when eaten, can cause even worse problems.
