Hello,

My recent post mentioned my Urban Sunglow male had a prolapsed hemipene for 4 days. I took really good care of him, cleaning his bin daily, changing his paper towels and keeping them wet, and applying Animax antibacterial/steroid ointment 3 times a day. I came home from work yesterday to put his ointment on and sure enough (after 9 days!) he completely retracted the hemipene. I am very happy for him and thank all of you that replied to my previous post!

Thanks again,
Glenn

Way to go bud, glad to hear he retracted it, I actually had a male whose turned black and hard, but he somehow still retracted it even though it was partially dead, yours wasnt dark was it?

Brandon and Michael....

Thanks for your replies!!! I'm beyond happy about his recovery. It's very hard not to immediately run to a vet just for the simple reason that you want to do the best for your pets. I had quite a variety of recommendations from various sources and decided to simply mantain as clean an enclosure as possible and to keep up with applications of the antibiotic/steroid ointment "Animax" 3 times/day.

Thanks again,
Glenn
