I finally got my hands on a Juvenile Chaco!:main_thumbsup: I'm so excited. He/she is around 3.5" to 4". As soon as I put it in the KK, within the hour it started to web the plants and even it's hide. My Tarantula is so awesome! I can't wait til it molts so I can find out the sex.;)

I've never had any sort of something like that, it looks very cool!

Can they be handled?

This species can. They can tolerate handling pretty well. There are other tarantulas that tolerate handling but I chose this one since it can obtain a legspan of up to 8". I held it in the palm of my hand for about 5min. I just wanted to see how it felt to hold a tarantula.:p

There was some sort of tarantula at the pet store, a cobalt blue, or something like that...one woman said they are very mean and bite instantly...I was just like I hope you tell that to a kid if they try to buy one...

I'm glad yours is nice, and pretty, err handsome! :D

Thanks! I was so nervous when I had to take it out of it's deli cup. The adrenaline was flowing and my knees were shaking. I had no idea how it was going to react. I stared at it for what seemed like an eternity just admiring it. I finally snapped out of it and carefully nudged it onto my hand. The T wasn't the least bit worried at all about me handling it.:D I was ecstatic. I can't wait till it starts to tunnel and bulldoze it's habitat. I hope it turns out to be female as well.

And it will make the most amazing tunnels! My little one has rearranged her dirt every night since I got her!
She also has this habit of killing all 5 of her crickets, then setting them in one big pile to eat them. I swear, Grammastola mean "quirky habits." LOL
