We had a discussion on this last week I believe maybe you can shed some light on it for us Sally. A Sunglow is basically an albino SHTCTB and a RAPTOR is basically patternless albino eclipse with red eyes. So if you have a Sunglow RAPTOR how do you know if it is truly a patternless or just a hypo? I tend to think that the classification of this morph is misleading. And if it is just a hypo then would it just be a red eyed Sunglow? Just looking for some clarification
Sunglow, also called Hybino, is basically the recessive trait albino x the polygenic hypo. Raptor, now in the market, is albino x eclipse. Seems like there has surfaced banded raptors, pastel raptors, etc. It does get confusing to see Sunglow Raptor, but it would still be a albino eclipse, to me. Hypo and patternless are poly traits/ line bred traits. This would be visible as hatchlings. All these marketing names really, really confuse me. ):
The line breeding names just keeping growing. I agree....it just depends on who you buy from. Look at all the names for a super snow eclipse!! Mind boggling!
Just a note back to the original question, you can tell if it is Patternless Stripe or Hypo by the markings at hatch time. Hypo hatchlings start with marked bands that fade; Patternless Stripe are patternless at hatch time.
So that baby is either banded or Hypo (depending how much the bands fade).
Edit: Of course, if it hatched Patternless Stripe, you wouldn't know for certain how much Hypo it also could pass on... so maybe that was the question?
The baby is a Super Giant Raptor. The father is a Super Giant Raptor from Designer Geckos. The mother is a Super Giant Raptor from Ember Gecko. SG Raptor x SG Raptor = SG Raptor.
