So one of girls laid some eggs for the first time, my first as well. I wasn't really prepared so I had to come up with a make shift incubator, but it seems to be working. She laid two eggs. When I found them both were bright white but was dented and looked like it had been trampled. The other looks great though.
The incubator is a tub with a 3/4" layer of sand in the bottom, to help heat evenly and hold heat incase the power goes out, with sphagnum moss on top, there is a heat pad under it and a few small ventilation holes in the lid.
This is the dented egg, it's blurry but you can see how beat up it is.
