i went into the kitchen to grab something to eat and looked in the tank and saw an egg which wasn't there a few hours ago lol! we put moss into the cup the geckos came in wet it with a "hole" for the egg to go into. we marked the top with a marker so we would know if it rolled or not. it is currently at 87 degrees.my girlfriend and i are so excited!

You better put a lid on that deli cup or you'll lose all your humidity and the egg will dry up. I wouldn't call that ideal if it's open like that--the whole setup I mean not just the deli cup. I think that will leave it very open to temperature fluctuations as the temperature of your house or apartment fluctuates. I'd try to invest in a cheap incubator like a Hovabator, or build a more reliable homemade incubator (I'm sure you can find directions somewhere here on the forum using the search or on Google). Anywho, good luck! It's always fun stuff, breeding herps! Try to do a bit more research beforehand though for next time and always be prepared for the worse!

Cheers,

Looks like something out of Jurassic Park with all that green moss around it.:main_laugh:

A submersible aquarium heater set to the highest setting, a plastic igloo cooler filled with about 2 inches of water, two bricks (or something heavy that will stick above the water), digital thermometer with probe, and a plastic container without a cap.

Works well for me. Keeps a daily temp of about 85-87 and a nightly temp of about 84 I don't recommend it, though, as the temp isn't stable and a hovabator is only about $40.

Then put a tupperware container (a long tupperware container would do best IMO, with a top of course) on top of the bricks. You have moss in there which is good, but if you want to you can put vermiculite in the container and mist it so it's moist, then put the top on so you don't have to worry about misting it.

Use this to make the container (http://www.albeysreptiles.com/incubate-eggs.htm)

Make sure the temps are consistant. Females (79-83), Mixed (84-86), Males (87-90)
