Well as some of you know I just got my first leo yesterday, we didnt have a moist hide in there but today we put one in... and he absoulty loves it...

Yesterday I put a few worms in his dish but wasnt sure if he ate em of not... but I couldnt find them today so he must have.

So today I tried hand feeding him ( with tweezers ) just to get his attention and to see if he was gunna eat, or if he still needed some time to get used to his new home..... anyways big fatty... lots of people said one his size would eat around 3-5... he ate probably closer to 10 and then walked away from me when I dropped the last one in his tank.

So I am glad he is eating so soon after coming home... tomorrow I will see if I can get him over to the dish so he can learn his food will be there...

Also, will they figure out their water situation on their own? I noticed last night when I walked by that he was like sitting in the water dish ( some of his feet were in the dish ) but not sure if he drank anything..

Anything special I have to do on my part to get him to drink or will he figure it out

by the way I am feedng smaller mealies

sorry if I posted this in the wrong section.. I Was pretty sure I was in the feeding section
Thanks

Keep in mind that these animals are nocturnal and WILL drink and eat at night when you don't see. As long as he has an easy source of food to get to, he will eat, and as long as he has a water dish he will drink.
