This is my little Lex. First time Leo owner here so could use any helpful advice or info (sex, age, morph, healthy?).

(These pics span over about two months starting the day I got him.)

I can tell you the sex if you post a picture of its vent, and it looks very healthy. Kinda looks like a sub-adult, I'm not totally sure of morph.

First pic is funny. Looks like it's winking. :D
Looks like a possible High Yellow.
In order to tell you the sex you would need to post a pic of its vent (underside between the back legs and base of tail).

He are a few more pics taken today.... Don't have a pic of its vent yet. Will try to get one posted soon. but I can say that there appears to be a fairly distinct bulge? Or does that really not mean anything? and i could really use some help on his morph still....

I had to post some of his goofy napping positions :)

He is such a cuite :D If you want a good pic of his vent, you could put him in a seethrough plastic box and take a photo from below .

My guess is that he is a high yellow (lavender?) and about 4-5 months old. But its hard to tell his morph without any pictures of him as a hatchling.

He is really pretty but he could use a little more fat in his tail ;) What are you feeding him, how often and how much?

Congrats to your first leo! They are truly amazing animals :)

He is an absolute blast! I can't get enough of him! I learn so many new things about his goofy personality every day!

His coloring is still coming in on some areas of his body so that might have been a goofy question to ask right away? His colors have definitely intensified and become more pronounced since he's been with me.

As far as weight goes, I'm glad you said something.... I've been worried that he's not in the healthy weight range for his size... Compared to the other photos I've seen he just looks scrawny... He was fairly thin when I got him (im guilty of a pet store purchase ) and he has been putting on weight gradually, I just don't know if his thinness and slow increase in weight is something im doing wrong?

He is currently eating anywhere between 5 and 10 crickets/day. I've tried mealworms but he won't eat them unless he's very hungry and he will only eat 1-2 of those at a time. I know nothing about leos, but from observing his behaviors, it appears it's more of a need to chase something down and excitement involved with that than him just not liking the worms? I kinda have to trick him into wrong them....

I'm not sure if this is significant, but it appears he has been stressed and slow to adjust to the new environment. He spent a lot of time trying to climb out of his terrarium for a good while. He's beginning to settle down now, and appears more content and comfortable, but it's got me nervous to even clean out his terrarium in fear causing more stess.

Thank you for the responses! I really appreciate the help!
