Hey everyone I just got my first leo egg since i got back into the hobby after many years.

I have 3 females in a 20gal long. I have had these 3 females for almost 2 years alone before recently purchasing a male from a member here.

Looks like almost instantly adding him to the group he began to try and court whichever female was in front of him. After a few months i noticed that 2 of my females looked larger but 1 was just huge! flipped her over sure enough I seen what appeared to be an egg.

They have a nest box in the tank with just straight vermiculite. It seems to dry fast so I try my best to keep it moist. I noticed one female digging but she never laid, night after night of digging but no egg. Last night Halo was digging again but Amber is the one that i seen the egg in and she remained in the cave. Halo dug till I went to bed at about 230am. this morning I find one single egg on the top of the cave! whats that about? I tried to harvest it to put it in a cup for incubation and its stuck onto the cave really good. I tried to be careful and went a bit harder and i can feel the egg shell bending. now i can tell this egg wasnt super fresh because it had already started to harden. Due to me trying to move it, it is a bit dented. I dont know if it is fertile or not.. what do I do? and can anyone suggest something better for a nest box? how long till my next eggs?
