Hi Everyone,

I am new to the Gecko World. I do have other herps, including a 4 ft Ball Python.

I am getting today my first two Baby Leopard Geckos, and I would love any advises from You guys that have geckos for a while. Anything would be helpful.

I've research some Caresheets, but additional info is always welcomed. Thanks.

Welcome to the world of geckos! If you do want to use sand as a substrate, definitely wait until your geckos are fully grown adults, and make sure the sand is as fine-grained as possible. This will lower the risk of impaction (intestinal blockage). Good luck with your geckos!:main_thumbsup:

make sure you have a humid hide to help them with shedding. and they also love them when they're not shedding too.

Kotsay1414, IMO both hides should be dark, one of yours is see through. Also use the rock hide that you have as the moist hide. It is rough inside and that should help with shedding.

Do you have undertank heat? The overhead light is not necessary. I used to have an overhead light for my leos too, and noticed those bright lights will make a leo darken in color.
