First Lost Shipment!!

OMG....I just got a notice from FedEx that my leopard gecko was delivered. However, the buyer said he has not received it. I called FEDEX, and they are tracing it. I am a nervous wreck!!! I double checked the address, and it is correct. Has anyone had this happen to them? I shipped through SYR, and they also have been notified. :eek:

Do you know if the address a home or an apartment complex? I had something similar happen to me recently when I received a chameleon, I was waiting and waiting and around 11 am the tracking info said she had been delivered, but obviously not to my door so I went down to my building's security office (they get all the larger packages sometimes.) We sorted through all the new mail and nothing, so I ran back to my apartment to start figuring out where she was with FedEx when I got a call from the lobby of a different building in the same complex saying they had received a box and it was moving (lol.)

So she had been delivered but to the wrong building by the driver's mistake. Because the address was correct. So maybe ask the buyer to check with neighbors, the driver may have made a mistake.

Two hours later, the gecko was delivered safely to her new owner. She was fine.
So glad that I followed good packing procedures, and she had a heat pack in her box. After calling FEDEX, they were quick to send the driver back to the location, and redeliver to the correct address.

Thanks! Another thing to watch out for, is the buyer giving you the wrong address. I always verify the address through PayPal or another verifying source. I have been given the wrong shipping address before. They will put West, when they meant North!!!!!:main_no:
