Well this will be my first season in this hobby, although I've had leopard geckos for about 9 years now. I just had a few questions I couldn't seem to find consistent answers to.
First of all, is one successful mating enough to ensure fertile eggs? I put my ovulating female with my male and they mated immediately. The female was very receptive. Once I was sure they were successful, I separated them to reduce stress on my female. Will this be enough or should I put them together and leave them together for a week or so?
Also, I have my incubator set up and everything, but I'm still debating whether or not to purchase some of those GEO things or to incubate the old-fashioned way in vermiculite. Does anyone strongly believe the GEOs to be better than just vermiculite?
I do my fair share of googling, but I wasn't able to find definite answers for these two questions.
