Howdy folks, I am new to the forums as well as leopard geckos and just wanted to get some opinions on my set up, if anything can be changed, etc.
The head pad is on the right side, with a thermostat underneath the tank/attached to the heat pad. I measure the surface temp with a temp gun.

The only question I really have is, during the day he always stays in the humid hide. At night he comes out to use his corner, then goes under the cork round on the hot side. He is still new so I have no worries about him being shy, I am just worried that he is being in the humid hide too much, but I guess he can be shedding, not sure how long a younger leopard gecko takes to shed.

Thanks for taking the time to check this out and give my any tips, I learned pretty much everything I know from this site the few months before I picked up my lil guy:main_thumbsup:

Thanks! The temp on the right under the log and a bit on the side of the humid hide is anywhere from 89-92. I actually also have a small bridge/ledge I made for the cage, since its only a 20 gallon, to give a bit more floor space but I am waiting until he is a bit more settled before I put that in. I have some sphagnum moss I can wet and put in there, I will try that I think!

The paper towel for the moist hide is perfectly fine. It's less messy and imposes NO RISK of impaction. I feel uncomfortable when I have to put eco earth in my lay boxes because I know there is always a risk.
