**Please see C of Health section**
About your leo:
- Sex: Male
- Age & Weight: Adult, unknown
- How long have you owned your leo: 6 months
- Where was he/she obtained (ex. Pet store, breeder, wild caught, friend): Friend
A) Health/History
- How often do you handle your leo: About every other day
- Is your leo acting any different today? If so how does he/she normally act which differs from now.: Slightly lethargic, has refused food for the past couple of weeks but tail is still fat and looks healthy otherwise.
- Has he/she had any problems in the past, if so please describe.: Was underfed before I adopted from friend.
B) Fecals
- Describe (look any different than normal): Small, dry, tan colored
- When was the last time he/she went: Hasn't defecated in a week due to eating less. Dormancy?
C) Problem
- Please briefly describe the problem and how long it has been going on: My leo had trouble shedding the patch of skin from the tip of his nose, left side, to the corner of his mouth and eyelid, right side. I gave him a couple of days to see if he could get it off, but I noticed it prevented him from opening his right eye all the way. I put him in a humid hide for 30 minutes and he finally let me peel the skin off with tweezers. A huge chunk of slimy skin came off! He can now open his eye fully but I noticed his bottom lid now looks different than the left eye - it's almost like the lower lid has flipped over. It is black and looks slightly saggy. I can see the yellowish lip below it, which is normally all I see. :main_no:
Housing:
A) Enclosure
- Size: On the smaller side, maybe 10 gallon? Unsure
- Type (ex. glass tank): Glass terrarium
- Type of substrate: Sand (I don't feed him in the terrarium to avoid impaction)
- Hides, how many, what kind: 1 "stone" hide. No moist hide yet due to high humidity in Georgia, but will make one for the winter.
B) Heating
- Heat source: Heat pad under tank
- Cage temps (hot side, cool side): 80 throughout terrarium, but heating pad covers 2/3 floor
- Method of regulating heat source
- What are you using to measure your temps: Stick-on thermometer
- Do you have any lights (describe)
C) Cage mates
- How many (males, females): Separated female last week due to aggressive courtship (biting tail)
- Describe health, or previous problems: See C under Health section
Describe Diet:
A) Typical diet
- What you're feeding (how often, how much): Offer crickets 1-2 times a week, offer mealworms if low on crickets or not taking crickets. Have offered wax worms since he hasn't eaten in a few weeks, but he isn't taking those either. Dormancy?
- How are you feeding (hand fed, left in dish, ect): Feed in a separate "holding tank" with no substrate. Place back in terrarium once done eating to his full.
B) Supplements (describe how often)
- What vitamin/minerals are you using (list brands): Sprinkle crickets with Zoo Med Repti Calcium
- What are you gut loading food with: Haven't been gut-loading but will probably do so once I start breeding my own crickets.
