Fluxuation humidity and temperature

My humidity and temperature keep fluctuating. The humidity goes from 45-55% and the temperature goes from 75 to a little above 80. My substrate is the green carpet. I also have UTH on the side of my tank and a regular heating pad that i just put half way under the tank and i have some type of moss. And neither temperature or humidity wants to stay where it's suppose to. What should I do?

Your humidity should be fine at 45-55%. If you're talking about ambient air temp fluctuating from 75-80F, that should be ok too. But if that's the floor temp, then that is too low as leos need belly heat, preferably above 90F, to aid digestion. Place the thermometer probe on the floor above the heat mat to measure the warmest spot.
