food for crikets and mealworms

Hi guys!

I've been watchin my crikets this weeks because they dont seem to eat their food. i usually give them potato and carrot. is there something else i can try?

for mealworms i use apple, seems to be working fine but what else should i give them?

For my mealworms, I typically will just through in some potatoes and sometimes the crickets' waterbytes.

For crickets. I use the Fluckers Calcium powder type food. It gut loads them with a good calcium source. I also through in some potatoes too. I just like to stay away from the vegetable/fruits as much as possible because it goes bad and makes my room smell!

I stick with carrots and oats, minimum smell and they both love it!

I use unmedicated chicken mash/meal for laying hens.

I use to use the calcium loaded water gels and foods, but ended up with large amounts of my feeders dying. Switched to plain water gel and the chicken mash and they last almost a month now.

you can purchase a 50lbs bag of mash for $15 or less at your local feed store.

I use apples for all of my mealworms, sometimes carrots.

My crickets get a high calcium cricket diet, fish food flakes, and high quality dry dog food. They get gel and veggies for water.
