Food strike?

I have heard this term tossed around and I don't know if this is what's going on with my gecko. She's 10-12 months old and has always been very healthy. She is moving around normally (at the moment she is climbing on her rock) and she looks very healthy. She interacted with me normally, and she has a big tail.

The problem is, she doesn't want to eat. She usually eats every other day and is very anxious. Today though, she just licked it and went on with her business. The only thing I did differently today was introduce supers. She didn't even attempt to eat it, so I changed it for some mealworms. Once again, she licked it but didn't attempt to eat it.

Am I overreacting? She has not mouthrot, a big tail, no MBD, she just pooped and it was normal, and he is active. Is this a "food strike"?

No it isn't a food strike to pass up dinner one time. All gex don't like all feeders, some don't like change, others don't give a fig about a treat. If she's happy with mealworms, give her those. They're good for her.

I'm having a similar issue with my leo. He hasn't eaten in about a week. Won't take mealworms, crickets or superworms. I have listed his info below for anyone who might reply.

- Where was he/she obtained (ex. Pet store, breeder, wild caught, friend): adopted from pet rescue

A) Health/History
- How often do you handle your leo: about once a month, sometimes more
- Is your leo acting any different today? If so how does he/she normally act which differs from now.: He has refused food for the past week.
- Has he/she had any problems in the past, if so please describe. None known
B) Fecals
- Describe (look any different than normal): Solid, brown w/white urates separate
- When was the last time he/she went: 3-4 days ago
C) Problem
- Please briefly descrive the problem and how long it has been going on: Refusal to eat for about the last week

- Type of substrate: sand
- Hides, how many, what kind: Two. A fake tree (not sure of the material) and a bamboo tube.
B) Heating
- Heat source: Heat pad below tank, heat lamp above, plus a regular lamp
- Cage temps (hot side, cool side): Hot side is around 80. Not sure about the cool side.
- Method of regulating heat source: Selectively turning on/off the individual sources.
- What are you using to measure your temps: digital thermometer

- How are you feeding (hand fed, left in dish, ect): Usually left in the dish, but sometimes by hand.
B) Supplements (describe how often)
- What vitamin/minerals are you using (list brands): Calcium supplement added to insects before feeding. Not sure of the brand.
- What are you gut loading food with: Commercial cricket food for the crickets, Total bran cereal for the supers, both also get fresh lettuce and sometimes carrots. The mealworms are kept in the fridge to keep them hibernating, so I don't give them food.

Yeah same here. She has always been a great eater and the past three days she doesn't want any. I just tried to give her some and she tried twice and gave up.
