Hello all,

I'm just wondering how many of you use the disposable plastic souffle cups (2-3 oz) for feeding and water dishes? Don't they tip easily? I've been using glass and plastic petri dishes and store bought small animal ceramic dishes and would like to get a bunch more dishes of some sort.

Thanks,
Glenn

I use them, and sell them. I find that someones they DO tip, but many geckos do not tip them. I use them mostly for cresties.

The 2oz cups measure 2 1/2" Diameter - 1 3/16" High.
The 3.25oz cups measure 3 1/16" Diameter - 1 1/4" High.
The 4oz cups measure 3 1/16" Diameter - 1 5/8" High.

For leos I have noticed that some large adults (especially when shedding) will dump the 2oz cups. They work very well for babies and juveniles though. For some adults I use 4oz cups and they don't dump those at all. I use these for water BTW.

Hey Cody,

Thanks for the reply!

What dishes do you use for feeding mealies? Also, you mentioned you use the 2 oz. cups for hatchlings. Are they able to find the water ok at 1 and 3/16" tall?

Thanks again,
Glenn

Thanks Matt! Yeah, a base as wide as the rim would be perfect. We wouldn't have to deal with them tipping over then...

Your welcome Glenn! I use petri dishes for feeding mealworms. Yes, my babies find the water without a problem.

I think they do it sometimes on purpose ;) They do it as soon as they are put back into the bins after cleaning while I am still watching.... they seem to make sure I am.

Glad I'm not the only one who's experienced that. LOL.
