foot shed i think

I need help!!! I got a baby leopard gecko, named JoJo, on july 13th 2010. Today is august 9th, (just do give you an idea of how long i have had 'em.) His toe is black and then it gets red farther up (it is his middle toe on his back right leg). It might of been a shed, i don't remember if he had a shed there or not. Anyways, my friend, who knows almost everything about every animal ever, says it might fall off. But this is the one thing he DOES NOT know too much about. Any help need and taken

If JoJo has stuck shed on the toe restricting blood flow, or he has bitten it badly during the previous shed, then there is a possiblity that the toe can fall off. Especially when you said the toe has turned black. Doesn't sound good if its getting red farther up the leg, it could be an infection, which you will need to take it to a vet.
