Found a gecko at work

Howdy all. I must say that I did in fact attempt to do some research and identify this gecko (lizard?), but through a few "identification wizards" and scrolling countless pages, I have come up with nothing helpful.
I work at a flower shop here in Michigan and I came across a gecko today...have never seen one before in person. Assuming it came in with a shipment of flowers/plants. Could someone be so kind as to tell me what it is exactly? I am quite interested to find out. Thanks for any help!
*also* I realize that this may not be the correct place to post...but I could not find a better topic. So appologies if this should be in a different section.

Someone else will be better able to identify but he looks pretty skinny. Pick up some mealworms at a pet store and also keep him warm.

That looks like just a common outside lizard, I don't know what theyre called, but they are everywhere here in Florida! I'd get him some fruit flies. Their tails don't get fat, by the way. :)

It's just a Mediterranean house gecko. They die very easily from stress, so it's best bet for survival would be for you to let it go in a warmer area next to your home. It will eat pest bugs, and will Brumate over the winter :)

Being in Michigan myself there is no such thing as a warm area by our houses this time of year [emoji2]

its not a gecko, its a young Brown Anole (Anolis sagrei).

note the long slender body, patterning and long toes on the hind legs.

Nice eye sausage! I thought it was hemidactylus frenatus at first glance, but i definately see the anole in it now. What should he do with it though?

Thank you much sausage! That certainly is it. I did not keep it in a jar..I just let it free in one of our several tropical plants. It stays warm in the store and no shortage of spiders or littleworms to eat in all of the other plants. Hoping he will stay just fine!

Edit

I agree it is exactly as you pictured sausage...but looking up brown anole I am finding something that looks completely different and has a bright orange under throat pouch. Could it be something else?

the males have a display dewlap that they spread out when attracting a mate or attempting to threaten off rival males. It wont be visable on this little chap till he reaches sexual maturity.

as you said it seems to have come in with your plants as its not a typical species in your area but if it stays in the store it could very well do okay eating bugs for you. well hopefully.
do you spray your plants et in the shop? as i was just wondering about water sources for it, if it does stay.
