For those of you that are unfamiliar with Redbox, basically they are $1/day movie rentals. The "boxes" are located at McDonalds, Albertsons, Walmarts, even convenience stores. There are a LOT of new titles, even brand new releases. For $1/day that's almost impossible to beat!

Basically you go to the machine, pick out a movie, swipe your credit card, and as long as you bring it back the next day by 9pm, your card gets charged $1.

Every Monday we get free rental codes that can be used multiple times, with different credit cards. I'll keep adding the codes to this thread, so hopefully some of you will take advantage of them!

www.redbox.com
Browse that site to search for movies in your area, at specific RedBox locations.

A great feature is that you can reserve movies ONLINE, and pick them up later, however you cannot use a free code with this feature. What is even COOLER is that you can return a RedBox movie at ANY location, it could be clear across the country really. You don't have to return it to the RedBox you picked it up from.

It really is a great idea, and much cheaper than buying or renting from a big store. It's saved us a LOT of money!

So here is the first code:

FREE REDBOX RENTAL FOR 01/12/09 (invalid as of midnight): H48MX2
*When you choose your rental, at the bottom click ADD PROMO CODE and enter the code, your total will then become $0.00*

Dang... I just rented Eagle Eye from the redbox not 30 minutes ago. I should have checked this first.

FREE REDBOX RENTAL FOR 1/19/09 (invalid as of midnight): K6W3G4

We rented a LOT of movies last week, all the new ones for sure.

Babylon A.D. and My Best Friend's Girl were definitely the best out of them. Disaster Movie was goofy, as always, and Bangkok Dangerous was DEFINITELY a different movie for Nicholas Cage. Pineapple Express wasn't as good as I expected either. Surfer Dude is probably Matthew McConaughey's worst film do date lol. The Wackness was a very odd movie...Danny liked it more than I did (I thought it was pointless lol)...BUT, for $1, they are all worth seeing :)

Thanks for posting that Bill :) We rented quite a few movies last week, and most were disappointing unfortunately. City of Ember was probably the best. Center Stage wasn't terrible either. Most of the others were a waste of time lol.

I used that site before :) I signed up for a text message service that texts me at 7am every Monday and sometimes Wednesdays.
