Frequency of male breeding

I have a male that I would like to breed with 5 females this season. I placed one female with him on Wednesday and saw them mate. Today I placed a different female in there, and though she didn't seem too interested, he did attempt to mate with her as well. I was wondering how long I should wait between females? Is 24 hours long enough, or should I wait a few days or even a week? I can't wait to get this breeding season going, but I, of course, want my male to stay healthy.

No one has any advice? No ideas, or previous breeding season experience????

I usually put my male in for a week with the girls (three) and then take him out for a week. This gives him time to breed, then time to sit alone, concentrate on eating, and then missing the breeding, lol!

So far, every night he's in there I here that tail rattling several times a night.
