Or it may have neurological damage from a temperature spike or it may have been exposed to a toxin or it may have experienced a physical trauma or...

There's way too little information, way too many possibilities and no responsible answer can be given other than "See a vet."

Sometimes I really hate that subforums like this one exist all over the web, being used as a veterinary substitute by people who aren't getting their animals the professional medical care they require, substituting answers from people who can't possibly provide anything definite. It's not just that of course, there are some people who manage to discuss medication and health issues in a manner that is appropriate to the medium they are using, but these seem to be a distinct minority. Most the posts are threads like this one, someone asking an impossible question and being given unqualified answers. There's no way anyone can help this guy over a forum- he should never have asked and nobody should ever have answered.

Thanks for ur great yet pointless insite. It was Sunday so vet was closed. Curious if someone had experienced something similar cause then they might have an idea what itmay have been. Unfortunately u posted instead. #1 reason I don't like posting in forums. Too many "Gods" like u trying to be the all knowing. So take this as it was written, print it out, wad it up and find a place for it. ;)

No it didn't develop MBD overnight.

Took to vet on Monday when they open and situation has been taken care of.
thanks for ur help and concern

Yikes...I understand it get frustrating at time to get a thread started like this but its up to seasoned owners and forum members to help "gently" direct another member to a solution. Not jumping at people....Forums get and keep knowledgable people from fostering learning and understanding from the new memebers. Don't eat your young M_surinamensis :(

Reefpimp there is a sticky at the top of the Health and Meds section that has a questionaire to fill out so when asking this kinda of questions those of us who have ideas can try to narrow down what maybe going on...and possibly give you ideas on how to get your Leo through till the vet opens the next day!!!

What ever did happen I am also curious!! :)

Took her to the vet next day where 2 vets checked her out. One of them has alot of Leo experience. Said it was nothing they had seen before. Something neurological possibly a tumor. She did die at the vet. They offered to send her to Purdue University for a full autopsy to find out for sure what it was. So she was sent there. Thanks for ur help and concern.

I assure u M_surinamensis it was not a heat spike, physical trauma or toxin. But thanks anyways

OMG how traumatic :( I'm very sorry. Sometimes they develop ruptures and other odd things that nothing can be done. Enigmas do carry a gene that causes some neurological disorders, was she by chance an enigma? You did all you could to help her by getting to a vet asap. I would very much like to know of their findings, if you don't mind sharing the information. Private message if you prefer. Again, I'm very sorry for what's happened with your leo.

Sometimes I miss being able to use animated avatars. Like this one, used it for years. Such a simple little picture but such a sincere expression of a sentiment.
