When are Leo's considered to be at full color. Like the baby spots totally faded ect. I have 2 tang CT that are about 4-5months old. there is very little of the spots left. I was just wondering when by what age it should be considered gone?

I don't really think there is a real answer for you. I have a 7 month old female tang that is still changing. Your best bet would be 6 months - year to be sure. That reminds me, I have to take a new pic of her this week when I switch her to a differant tank.

I think that at 9 months, the color is pretty much where it will stay. Once geckos breed the color usually decreases. But the geckos color is not what changes as it reaches maturity. It's the pattern that changes the most and I will say it probably stops changing once the gecko is at about 9 to 10 months? Just an estimate..

Most books state that they are done at about 1 year old. But I have talked to some other breeders say that they have had some leo's that continued to changed for about 2 years.

Also, don't forget that age and health can effect their color.

We have some geckos that are about 7 months and haven't changes in the last month other than their jsut getting fatter. lol. So I would say at about 9 months is what I've seen. But they do continue to change as they breed and/or lay eggs.

i dont think you can realy say in months i think you have to say more in size.
some geckos grow much faster and color up faster then others. some of my geckos can reach over 60 grams in 5 months or less. some morphs also look better at like say 20 grams then full grown.

also my sunglow's get nicer with size.

breeding and stress dose take its tool on color. also haveing cage mates can lessin the color.
there are alot of factors that can determan when a gecko is in its best color :main_thumbsup:
