Posting to inform people about Full Spectrum Reptiles. I have not seen a website for them, but they have been at Repticon and I'd like to inform people of my experience with them.
My brother bought a juvenile Albino Burmese Python, just under 6ft long, from them at the Atlanta Repticon last July. After getting it home and letting it settle in for a few days, we got a chance to closely inspect it. We found it had a pretty bad case of mites. I emailed Repticon for the contact info of Full Spectrum Reptiles since I couldn't find it anywhere online. After getting it I emailed them and informed them that the burm had a bad case of mites and if there was anything they could do for me. I waited four days, with no reply from them so I sent the same email again. After waiting another week I emailed them again. I got a reply from Brian at Wildside Exotic Pets, a week later, who told me that the owner of Full Spectrum Reptiles was busy in New York with his father in hospital. Brian offered to take care of the mites if I brought the snake to him and that he would also give me a Leopard Gecko, free of charge, for the hassle. By this point I had already taken care of the mites myself, which I told Brian and also that I did not want the Leo in case of mites on it too. I can understand being busy with a sick relative, but I waited almost three weeks before I got a response from anyone. To this day I have yet to receive an email from Full Spectrum Reptiles.
So, in summary, Brian at Wildside Exotic Pets was more helpful than where we got the snake from.
Full Spectrum Reptiles was at Repticon again in Atlanta on the 15th and 16th of this month. After looking at a few of their animals and finding mites on a few snakes and bloody and red raw noses on some of their lizards, I have decided to avoid all contact with them in the future and will never buy another animal from them again.
