Funky Toe

So we adopted three geckos about 3 weeks ago now. They all have issues shedding, I know they didn't have wet moist hides when we got them but we have made sure they have ever since then and yet they still never shed right.

Another problem with the male is he has a funky toe, I don't know if its broken or what but it sticks out at a bad angle and it looks painful. It always catches his shed and has gotten red. We really don't know what to do with it. It's not just skin its the whole tip of his toe.

Here are some pics its the middle toe on the front right foot.

It looks very similar to the break Yoshi had on one of his toes. I was told by a friend it would prolly fall off on its own and to just keep an eye on it for infection.

It kept getting skin stuck on it and eventually fell off.

It doesnt bother him at all to have a stubby toe, he walks around and climbs fine :)

looks like there is stuck shed on the toe in that picture. THe shed ultimately tightens around the growing toe and it will eventually fall off to where it is restricted. A soak or a very moist humid hide and careful extraction of the shed could lead to saving the toe tip.
