...I'm at a loss for words. Who in their right mind would buy something like that? I mean, if Elvis touched it or something I would understand, but this is just a dried lizard in a jar...

LOL! I find that amuzing for some reason...
I think any dead animal being kept for "show" is just freakin creepy but this does kinda amuse me for some reason. Maybe it's just cause some moron had the adacity to pick up a dead lizard and keep it in a jar for 6 years! I think the pose has something to do with it also.

Well, I don't see it as cruel. The owner of this item didn't go out and catch a lizard and then dry it. He just found it dried. It likely had already died of old age or parasites or something before drying up.

And it's not funny 'haha' but it's more funny because it's unusual.

As for my flying lizard, it's both interesting and has a funny story. I know an entemologist, from whom I've bought/traded for my bug/butterfly collection. He was out doing his job, and was trying to catch a certain butterfly. At the same time, this lizard was as well. In the end, the lizard got the butterfly, and he got the lizard...which eventually made it's way to my house. I will say, it's in a much more artistic presentation then the one in a jar!

Just because you love something, doesn't mean you can't appreciate it in its dead form as well. (Go ask Gregg about his skull collection)

That’s exactly right. If there had been a hint of animal cruelty, trust me, it would NOT have been funny.
