Ive had my leos a while now and something that always has me thinking "wtf was that" is when a high pitched little squeek comes from one of the gecko tanks.

I think Bubba does it more than the others that ive noticed. Hes about 6 months old and even though he eats well he never seems to put a lot of weight on. Hes active and very friendly to the point where he has "tantrums"...he will walk around and climb on everything, tip his calcium dish over and walk all in his water until i pick him up. Then he just sits chilling in my hand for a few minutes, then goes into his warm hide and sleeps :) So i dont think theres anything wrong with him.

Im not sure if he sneezes, i havent seen him do anything.

I just wondered if anyone else has noticed this squeek and knows what it is :) It even seems to freak the other geckos out when they hear it lol

My Leos make this noise if I do something that they clearly don't like, such as trying to pick them up and check their sex (They don't like being held spread eagle apparently lol) or if I startle them. Every Leo is different though. I'm not quite sure what yours is doing lol =)

Hehe the weird thing is he does it when nobody is doing anything to him. Hes just in his tank and "squeek!"...its not really loud but loud enough to notice and just a quick squeek. I dont think hes ill as he only does it every so often, like maybe once every few weeks.

It almost sounds like hes sneezing....but ive seen him b4 do the motion of slightly twitching his head and shutting his eyes as if he sneezed but he didnt make a sound.

Its a little mystery to me hehe :)

One of my male will make a pretty loud "squeek" when he stretches (bending his body). He usually does that right after he wakes up in the evening.
