My male giant rearly shows interest in food. Ignors mealies seems to try to get crickets but rarely does. I tried butterworms he ate 3 the first time now ignors them. He seems very healty and strong but just not into eating. Is there anything I can try besides roaches my wife won't allow them in the house.

2 or three months he eats just not much. My female is half his size and eats twice as much.

Ok,the roaches is a must! My big boy only goes crazy for them. He is 95+ grams and jumps off his hides for these.

I had a male SHTCT that was kind of a picky or should I say LAZY eater. I wouldnt worry to much as long as he does eat some and is "fat and healthy".. Some geckos are vicious eaters while others are picky and lazy eaters.. Just keep an eye on him and monitor his food intake. If he goes to long without eating it might be a good idea to get him to a vet for a check up. What are your temps??

Temperature seems to be a big part of why they may or may not eat. Or any changes to their environment may cause some stress for a few days to a week from what I've heard. Or it could be possible that he's getting to that stage where they will eat every other day, or a couple times a week. I'm having the same problem with Merlin. He was a FANTASTIC muncher, loved his food, both mealworms and crickets. Now though, he's only eating every other day, sometimes every couple of days. I haven't really done a lot of changes, the only thing new I added was exchanged his old toy for a new one. He had a 3-layered cave that he'd outgrown so I got him a new one. He seems fine with it and lays in it and all that, but just doesn't seem to be eating as much as he used to. He has a nice sized tail, I'm not sure what his weight is, I am hoping to get a scale soon so I can weigh him and my bearded dragon.

What's the tank set up like?

I have a 20 gallon long, paper towels on the bottom layer (at least two or three that get changed out once a week), tile on top of that, and his hides, calcium dish, water dish, and food bowl. I have a blue day bulb, and a red bulb. He has an UTH pad for a 10-20 gallon tank. Temps stay between 82-93 on warm side. He has a rock cave on the cool side, his moist hide 3-in-1 cave in the middle, a log in the front, and the new bigger 3-layered rock thing in the back on the right which is the warm side. I wonder if I need to remove one of his toys, if maybe it's overwhelming? I don't know....

I got Merlin back in May, May 1st of this year. So he's done really well adjusting to his new home.

Set up pretty close to your only 11X11 heat pad with controls hot side between 90 and 95 and very constant
