It was attacked by a cat and has a wound on itis tail that is swolen and i think the bone is broken.

It's hard to give advice with so little detail but I will try. I'm not sure by your description how bad the cut is. but I would suggest you keep it clean and keep him on paper towl. reptiles are pretty good healers and i'm sure he will heal in no time. asuming it's not that bad. A vet check would not hurt either.
Is this a pet or one you rescued form outside? If he is wild make sure you keep it far away from your other herps and wash your hands before and after tuching him.
