Gecko Attacked by cats

My leo just slipped out of her cage and my cats attacked her. She has a couple punctures but don't look too deep. She is in complete shock though. I cleaned out all her wounds with Betadine. I planned to take her to the vet first thing in the morning but I realized that it is a holiday!!!!! What can I do for her? I have amoxicillin, but I read that it doesn't work well for reptiles. I used to have a ton of meds on hand but I'm in the process of moving so I just threw them out the other day :( What do you guys recommend?

She has redness where the bites occurred and it is very bruised in one spot. The bites are all on the back towards the neck but none on the head or on the underneath of her body.

I would just keep the wounds clean until you can get to vet for antibiotics. In the meantime she is in shock, so keep her quite and in a dark area. Hopefully nothing internal is damaged. Hope she will be ok....keep us posted.

She passed away today. I am so upset. It was entirely preventable and I failed her. She was the greatest leo I've ever had :( Reptiles that small rarely survive a cat attack.

So sorry for your loss. I had a gecko pass away last week and am still very upset by it. You shouldn't blame yourself; these things happen and you tried everything you could think of to help
