so i've had my baby gecko about three weeks and he's growing so fast! He's eating mealworms and pooping and all seems well. Lately he's digging all the moss out of his humidity box. Any ideas?
Is this idicative of any particular problem?
Or is he just an odd ball?

It's popped up in this thread if you want to take a look.

Digging is a pretty natural behavior seen in geckos, especially females laying eggs. I've caught my little male patternless digging underneath the moss in my 3-in-1 hide. It was scary at first not being able to find him anywhere in the enclosure, but sure enough, he had hid himself under all of it. What a goof.

If you want to avoid getting moss everywhere, you can use paper towels to hold moisture instead.

you can also just cut your hole in the top of your tupperware container so your leo can dig to its hearts desire and not kick any moss of out the hide!! :)

Completely normal behavior!

Simple fix. My leo Cera has been making a mess and I have been cleaning the cage everyday. I will be cutting a hole in the top of a new tupperware when I get home from work! Thanks.
