I posted a few weeks ago that my gecko Jack took a nip at me when i tried to pet him so i left him alone for 2 weeks and my wife and i are now feeding him from the palms & fingers of our hand. We drop a mealie or a waxy on our palm and Jack will come out of his house and crawl up our arm and take the worms. It was actually pretty awesome. Sometimes he'll just sit there smacking his lips.
One thing i was curious about for anyone here that knows a lot about Gecko behavior. When Jack hunts his crickets and worms we noticed that he moves his tail around rapidly just before striking. When he eats off our hand he just quietly moves up to the prey and snaps at it, but there's no tail thrashing whatsoever? Is this a sign he's getting more comfortable with us? Just curious.
Thanks to everyone that's given me advice on gecko care over the past 3 weeks. Being a new gecko dad has been a blast.
