gecko hides

Hi im new here.

I have 2 lep.geckos in tank with all the trimmings.The problem is i never see my geckos.They have 2 rock affect hide and they never come out.Someone has told me to take the hides out until in ready to let them go to and i can then see them more.But i dont want to stress them out.

Any ideas please thanks.

How long have you had your geckos for? I've only had mine for over a week now, but the same thing happened to mine. When I first got her, for the first 2 or 3 days she didn't eat or really come out of her hide. Even though I adopted her and her tank remained the same during that time.

She still spends lots of time in her hide. Being nocturnal, during the day, obviously they sleep. The time I see her most active is after the day light has gone and it's time to eat!

Maybe just give them some time?

I would just give them time to adjust...one of my geckos stayed in her hide for several weeks after i bought her and would only come out for water, but now i see her all the time.
Also i would not stress them out any more by taking them or their hides out.
