gecko never leaves the hotside after UTH

Hey guys, the title basically says it all. After getting my UTH from switching to from a bulb hes never left the hotside unless he needs to poo on the other side of the tank...is this normal. I also just baught a reptitemp 500 thermostat...anyone have any opinions on this product?.

lol yes ofcourse, but before the UTH i could see the changes during the day....he actually spent more time on the cool side rather then the hot before....ive been off work for a while now and dont get alot of sleep so ive been watching him, and I just found it funny...likes the new change of belly heat i guess lol

Yes I would say his behavior is more normal now than it was before.
