Gecko not eating

Hi everyone. I need some help here. My female Leopard Gecko, Leona, has been with me for a little over a year now. I'm not sure exactly how old she is, but we guess around 6 to 8 years. When we first got her, she was on sand (switched her to repti-carpet). The problem is, since maybe around January or February, she has just stopped eating. She is going to the bathroom regularly and it looks normal. At first we thought she was going through that brumation period that they sometimes go into, but then we noticed that her tail was getting a little thinner. Not too much, but we noticed a little change, and that was enough. For the last few days we have been giving her Marcia's slurry which has worked fantastically, but I would like to know how we can get her eating on her own again.

Leona is in a 20 gallon tank all by herself with a UTH and a recently added heat lamp (70 watts, its not on constantly, especially now since we have been experiencing a heat wave). Warm side reaches high 80's to mid 90's and cooler side is about mid 70's. At night, its usually about in the 70's too, but like I said it's been VERY hott lately. She has two hides, one on each side. I would post pictures but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Oh yeah, and I weighed her once a few weeks ago and she was about 57-60 grams, which I've read is normal.

Wow, sorry for the long post, just wanted to provide enough info. Any help at all is very much appreciated. Her situation is not really bad, but it worries me that she has not eaten in a long time and I don't want her to get worse. My mother said she would do anything to help her (we've all grown attatched to her:smitten:) and if a vet visit is necessary, we'll do all we can. Thanks in advance, and let me know if you need any more information.

she could be ovulating or have infertile eggs in her. If you tank her and gently bend her back you will be able to see a pink spot in the middle of her belly, that means she is ovulating. If there are eggs they will be white oval patches on either side of her body.

If your still concerned you could take a fecal sample to the vet and have them test for parasites.

Thanks for your replies. I've heard of that, i'll have to look at her closely. Just another thing, though, how long does it usually last? If she does have infertile eggs, should I be concerned or is it normal?

I still don't know what's wrong. I can't tell if she has eggs or if she's ovulating and if she is I don't think it would last about 3 or 4 months, but then again I don't know. She's not even losing any significant amount of weight. Would she have any physical or noticeable signs of parasites like being lethargic or something like that? I am really concerned and frustrated, we have forced a few wax worms in her, not all at once of course, but throughout a few weeks. Does anyone know of any good reptile vets in the Monroe County, PA area?
