My gecko is not eating. He is six years old. But I have only owned him for just over a month. And now he has suddenly just stopped eating. Is something wrong?

It depends on a lot of things.

1. What are the surface temps in the tank? Hot side and cool side?

2. What are you feeding, how much and how often?

3. Have you changed anything in the tank?

4. What substrate do you use?

5. Does he have a constant supply of water?

6. Have his poops changed or stopped?

There might be other questions to ask but answering those might help other members give better suggestions.

1. It's about 90 degrees. A little cooler on the cold side.
2. Crickets. 2-3 a day around 5pm everyday. And he has meal worms and calcium in some bowls.
3. I did change his tank around the other day. Could be that I guess.
4. Not sure what substrate means. I'm a noob. Sorry :/
5. Yes he does.
6. He had not pooped today. But he didn't eat yesterday or today.

ceramic tile is actually best on the hot end, are you using an under the tank heater? Leos should never be kept with lights. Also that is barely any crickets to a gecko that size, I feed only mealworms now, but when I did feed crickets it was nothing for a baby leo to eat anywhere from 14-20 crickets a day, do you mind sharing pics or your gecko?

Juvi geckos eat alot of food but adults will eat less since they aren't growing anymore, and he did say his gecko was 6. But you should feed him as much as he will eat, they can regulate their own food.

Oh. When I got the gecko the old owner gave me a sheet that said how much to feed it, when to feed, and what to feed it. I've just been following that

Well when he starts to eat again, you should offer him as much food as he will eat. Geckos will only over eat once, and they won't do it again. They are good at regulating their own food.

How long has he not being eating for?

Oh, thats not very long, I wouldn't worry about that. Adult geckos do not generally eat every day, most will eat every other or every three days, so I wouldn't worry about it. I would say if it gets to a week take him to the vet, or if your worried take him to the vet anyway. Just as an aside, are you supplementing his food with a multivitamin and not just calcium?

No, after 15 minutes if he has not eaten them you should remove them from the tank because they can stress him out and also bite him
