I wasn't sure this belonged in feeding/feeders, or health.. But I'm going with health.
I have 2 female leos, who like to scare me and go without food for a couple days at a time.. It's happened before, so when they refuse a meal (they get fed everyday) I don't panic. First of all, sorry this is so long..Now let me give some background info.I got her from a "breeder" (man who threw fertile eggs in a homemade incubator)off of craigslist, who quit breeding so was just selling some leos. They were housed on wood chip substrate, no heat mat (only a bright white light) with crickets thrown in weekly (No point, they hid in the wood chips) and a dish of mealies.. Now, you can figure it's likely that the gecko had impaction, but I got her anyways.
I nursed her back to health.. She was semi-skinny but not bad, and just in poor condition. I think she had slight MBD, she seemed blind, and was practically brown from head to tail, and is now yellow and purple..
Now, my point to that is, that aws 2 1/2 months ago, Everything got better, and she became CRAZY for superworms. Refused mealies, and would only take a cricket every once in a while. Well, she likes to refuse a meal or a few meals once in a while to scare me, however it's been about 1 1/2 weeks without food or poop. Then, just yesterday (still no food) she had a BIG poop that she didn't bother to take to the poop corner.. I opened it up and it was full of.. stuff? Undigested bug parts, I couldn't even tell what most of it was, and it smelled! She still won't eat, is she impacted from before I got her still, 2 1/2 months ago? What do you think is wrong with her..? My other girl quit eating with her for about 3 days, then pigged out every night since.
Thanks in advance! I'm kind of panicking :bigcry:
